  • ESCL/ELV Is A Self-occurring Mechanical Failure In The Electronic Steering Column Lock.
  • The Occurrence Of The Fault Does Not Depend On Any Fault.
  • In Case Of Malfunction, Even If There Is No Problem In The Vehicle Key, The Working Key Will Not Start this is because The ELV Steering Column Lock is out of alignment and can not be activated.
  • In This Case, A New ELV Steering Column Lock Must Be Installed In The Vehicle And Programmed Into The Vehicle.
  • A genuine module replacement will cost thousands or a programmed emulator module will do away with the old device.

Common signs might be:

  • The remote still locks/unlocks your vehicle but wont start
  • Dash Lights don't come on when pushing start button/No Key Detected or steering wheel fault comes up on dash.
  • The steering wheel is in the unlocked position when the car is off

Fitting Procedure:
1. Remove faulty unit and unplug cable
2. Plug in new emulator module
3. Start Car
4. Recommend diagnostically clearing stored fault codes
*If doesn't work or stays on green check for blown ESCL fuses under BCM computer & clear fault codes
